Had such a busy week which is why this post is later than normal. been having 10 hours days at uni trying to get everything printed and i have still have quite a lot to do but Im getting there. I was researching for my DISP project the other day when i was told about some images that had been in Vogue last year of Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter that were sort of along the lines of what Im creating so i had a look and i think there brilliant. The piece was caller "Tales of the unexpected" and the photographs were taken by Tim Walker and were published in the December 2008 issue. This particular series of images is inspired by Dahl’s successful short story collections titled “Tales of the Unexpected”. Some of the images are accompanied with quotations from some of Dahl’s famous books. Models were mixed in with actors as they piece was more about capturing the characters than just simply posing. I think that these images are really successful in capturing the short tales and portraying both Tim Burton and Hellena Bonham Carter in a way that suits their character. i think they are well worth a look if you haven't seen the series already.
